Science Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Liaison Librarian

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for an innovative, collaborative, user-focused applicant for a Science Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Liaison Librarian position. Based on background and experience, candidates will be designated liaison responsibilities for departments in UNLV’s College of Sciences and/or the Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering.

Reporting to the Director of Research and Education, responsibilities include: providing discipline-based research and technology assistance through individual and small group consultations and online user support; creating programs and services for UNLV’s science and engineering community that will advance the research enterprise and foster a climate of scholarly inquiry and student achievement; teaching curriculum-integrated instructional sessions at all degree levels; collaborating with teaching faculty to develop course content; participating in assessing student learning; creating online tools and user guides; helping to shape new directions for development and access to science and engineering collections; and working in a team environment with a focus on continuously enhancing the user experience.
