Instruction and Outreach Librarian

The Sonoma State University Library is looking for an awesome instruction and outreach librarian to join our team. This person will be creative, motivated, and inventive; someone who places students at the center.  The ideal candidate will relish the challenge of engaging students in a variety of venues, experimenting with new pedagogical approaches, and collaborating widely, an individual with an entrepreneurial spirit who can thrive in an always "beta" world.  Key traits include the ability to work in a shared decision-making environment, a talent for moving gracefully between a variety of public services activities, a passion for leadership and learning, and a sense of humor and fun.

The University Library in the Jean and Charles Schulz Information Center is located just 50 miles north of San Francisco in beautiful Sonoma County. It offers a dynamic learning environment, valuable information resources, and a state-of-the-art automated retrieval system.

As a faculty member, librarians are expected to take a leading role in campus activities and governance.  Scholarship plus service to the campus and community are expected.  This position requires an ALA-accredited MLS, MLIS, or equivalent.

Rank: Senior Assistant Librarian.   Salary range: $57,084 - $72,132, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Generous benefits package.
