Education Reference Librarian

EDUCATION REFERENCE LIBRARIAN: This position provides information, reference and research assistance to the university community, especially in the education area. This position also is responsible for providing information, reference and research assistance, selecting and evaluating library collections in assigned subject areas, developing and delivering instructional programs, planning and implementing library outreach services, developing services, participating in library planning and development, and contributing to the library profession.

REQUIREMENTS: ALA-accredited MLS degree; library reference experience; proficiency with technologies, software tools, and data resources to support research and pedagogy in education disciplines; demonstrated skills in teaching;  excellent organizational, interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills; successful experience working in a team environment ; analytical skills including independent problem solving, critical thinking and time management skills; demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service; demonstrated aptitude in developing and maintaining web presence. Preferred: experience in teaching; experience in an academic library; experience with information literacy programs; experience in collection development.
                            
SALARY AND BENEFITS: Salary range: $47,000 -$49,000.   Excellent benefits package.
