Director of Heritage Resources


The Western Washington University Libraries seeks a dynamic, innovative, and decisive leader to serve in the newly created position of Director of Heritage Resources. The person in this key leadership position will have policy, planning, and assessment responsibilities for the Libraries’ Special Collections, University Archives & Records Center, and Center for Pacific Northwest Studies, with a total current staff of 6.5 FTE. The collections managed by these units comprise a valuable and distinctive resource for the heritage of the university, the local community, and the Pacific Northwest region. The successful candidate will be an accomplished leader who is skilled in managing change and building partnerships within the library, across campus, and in the greater community.  This is a full-time tenure-track/tenured faculty position.  Rank will be based upon qualifications.  The Director reports to the Assistant Dean for Collections and Technology Services.
