Science Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Liaison Librarian

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for innovative, collaborative, user-focused applicants for two Science Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Liaison Librarian positions. Based on background and experience, candidates will be designated liaison responsibilities for departments in UNLV’s College of Sciences and/or the Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering.

Reporting to the Director of Research and Education, responsibilities include: providing discipline-based research and technology assistance through individual and small group consultations and online user support; creating programs and services for UNLV’s science and engineering community that will advance the research enterprise and foster a climate of scholarly inquiry and student achievement; teaching curriculum-integrated instructional sessions at all degree levels; collaborating with teaching faculty to develop course content; participating in assessing student learning; creating online tools and user guides; helping to shape new directions for development and access to science and engineering collections; and working in a team environment with a focus on continuously enhancing the user experience.
