Assistant Librarian - Temporary Pool

Sonoma State University Library, Rohnert Park, CA

Located 50 miles north of San Francisco in beautiful Sonoma County, the University Library in the Jean and Charles Schulz Information Center offers a dynamic learning environment in a modern, flexible space (opened in 2000), with extensive information resources, and an automated retrieval system. The Library is building a pool of candidates for possible temporary, part-time, short-term appointments in instruction/public services and technical services.

Ideal candidates for instruction/public services will be passionate about teaching and public service, enthusiastic about helping undergraduates succeed academically, and cognizant of the unique challenges and opportunities of working with first-year students. Candidates for technical services positions should have experience with electronic resources management and/or digital projects.  The ability to work in a shared decision-making environment as well as a sense of humor and fun are essential.

This position requires an ALA-accredited MLS, MLIS, or equivalent and teaching/reference or technical services experience.

Rank: Assistant Librarian, $ 3,957.00—$ 5,347.00 monthly, full-time equivalent, commensurate with number of hours assigned, qualifications and experience.
