Research & Instruction Librarian


Amherst College seeks a talented librarian and teacher for the library's program of course-integrated research instruction. We are looking for someone who inspires students and faculty with teaching and research skills, understands discipline-specific language and tools, and can communicate effectively about library resources and technology. Other key attributes include a love of public service, a history of collegial decision-making, and a commitment to the liberal arts and continual learning.

Qualifications:  Master's degree from a program accredited by the ALA or a foreign equivalent is required, as are at least three years of exemplary teaching and reference service post-MLS in academic institutions. An additional graduate degree and evidence of serious scholarship are strongly desired.
