The Paul Robeson Library at Rutgers-Camden is seeking an innovative, energetic, service-oriented librarian to join a team of library faculty committed to providing first-rate public services to a diverse academic community. This librarian will provide general and specialized reference and research assistance locally and, through Rutgers’ virtual reference services, university-wide. The position includes collection development and faculty liaison responsibilities for subject areas to be determined by the candidate’s expertise. As a participant in a dynamic and pro-active user education program, the candidate will develop and offer user-centered instruction sessions and design web-based instructional materials. The candidate will participate in the delivery of the first-year information literacy program, other information literacy efforts and digital projects. Requirements include a Master’s degree from an ALA-accredited institution or the equivalent and two or more years of academic library experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a collegial environment. This is a tenure-track appointment. The successful candidate should demonstrate commitment to continual professional development through scholarly research relevant to areas of responsibility including publications, presentations and participation and leadership in the work of relevant professional associations.
