Interlibrary Loan/Material Delivery Librarian

Raymond H. Fogler Library, University of Maine, Orono seeks a creative and dynamic librarian to serve as the interlibrary loan/material delivery librarian. Responsibilities include planning, directing, and providing service to the University usersof the interlibrary borrowing service and to the users of the lending service. Also manages material delivery as related to the interlibrary loan process. Responsible for the public photocopiers. Prepares reports and library publications,including web pages. Supervises three support staff and student employees. Participates in library-wide planning. Works closely with other members of Fogler Library’s staff on public service.

Required: ALA-accredited MLS; expertise in interlibrary borrowing and lending; management experience; organizational skills; supervisory skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team.Must have authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred: Interlibrary Loan experience in an academic library. Demonstrated experience with World Wide Web authorship.
Raymond H. Fogler Library is the primary research library for the State of Maine. The University of Maine is the Land Grant University and Sea Grant College for the State of Maine. Thelibrary uses the Innovative integrated system and has developed Mariner, a digital library. It is a Tri-State Regional Depository and a full patent and trademark depository.

This is a 12-month, full-time position with an excellent benefits package including TIAA-CREF. Proposed salary range from $38,551 to $51,402.
